Please don't kill me for posting this. Especially since we're on a football forum. Just needed somewhere to let people know about it.
If you want to delete it, I understand. Just wanted to post about an upcoming Ennis event.

This coming Saturday, February 25th is the NATIONAL PROMOTE RON PAUL DAY.
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, all over the country, will be sign waving promoting Ron Paul.
The Mainstream Media has made is absolutely OBVIOUS that they will not give Ron Paul the fair coverage that all of the other candidates receive, and honestly, that's not surprising one bit.
SO, WE the People are going to have to get out and promote Ron Paul ourselves. But that's perfectly okay. Because we'll do just that. :)

Meet us in front of the ENNIS WALMART in ENNIS, TX!
9am to 1pm.
We have 20+ signs available, PLUS you will receive a FREE unofficial RON PAUL bumper sticker as well!
You are welcome to make your own signs and bring them to the sign wave as well.
Bring Official Ron Paul signs and banners, unofficial signs, homemade signs and USA flags!

We are conveniently located near a Murphy USA and Walmart (obviously) if you'd like any refreshments or snacks.

Let's make this sign wave HUGE!
We might have the news medias and local news papers out there as well, so we need a STRONG showing.

It's time to make a statement!
RON PAUL 2012!

We. will. not. be. ignored.

Please share this event and spread it around.
Here is the facebook link for anyone who's interested:
http://www.facebook....93219304118572/

FOR LIBERTY!!
Hope to see all the Ron Paul supporters in town out there this coming Saturday!
Let's have some fun! :D

Also, just an fyi, please LIKE our group "Ennis for Ron Paul" on facebook.
Currently have 16 LIKES and looking for lots more! (and you don't have to live in Ennis to LIKE our group or come to a sign wave with us)

Because we're all about freedom and liberty.
We're awake to what's going on. We are the "information generation". We don't just come home and flip on FOX news and CNN and allow them to tell us what's going on. We do the research ourselves. We don't take what they say as fact.
They are Bilderberg-owned Media Corporations who work to serve the interests of those pushing the New World Order.
Ted Turner, owner of CNN is a Bilderberg Group member. Also Rupert Murdoch of FOX News.
Yes, the New World Order IS real. I dare you to look up George H.W. Bush's speeches on the NWO, you'll also be delighted to know that he gave his State of the Union speech on September 11th of either 1990 or 1991...what happens 10-11 years later on that same day? terrorist attacks.
Also, look into Kennedy's "Secret societies" speech, or Eisenhower's "Military-industrial complex" speech.
This is not "conspiracy", this is reality.
That is what is happening as we speak!

And our beliefs are simple beliefs, we believe in returning to the U.S. Constitution,
believe in ending the Federal Reserve (who is responsible for the devaluing of our dollar, high inflation, and running up massive debt by printing money out of thin air with nothing to back it up), and if I may add, the Constitution doesn't give a private bank authority to make our currency. Only the CONGRESS should be making our currency,
believe in ending the TSA, who gropes (aka molests) people at airports by touching their genitalia, or giving you the option to walk through one of their cancer causing body scanners.
Believe in not occupying and policing the world. Regardless of whether or not you believe it is our duty to police the world, we CANNOT afford to. Plus, the Constitution gives us no authority to do that anyways.
I personally believe that our country is hated NOT because "We're free" as the lie has told us, but because we're occupying all these countries and dictating how they'll run their country (whether it be through foreign aid, or military force) -- They don't care that we're free. Look at Switzerland for example.
We don't believe in BIG GOVERNMENT, which is what we currently have.
We have a Government, who now has the power to ARREST and INDEFINITELY DETAIN you without right to a trial or a lawyer (National Defense Authorization Act fy2012), section 1021, which by the way EVERY candidate other than Ron Paul supports. Santorum tries to act like he's against NDAA, but he was in favor of the Military Commission Act of 2006 (aka the Patriot Act) look them up and what the Patriot Act is all about.
We also believe that the U.S. shouldn't have ANY involvement with the United Nations (U.N.)

You know, stuff like that.
We often times get painted as "radical" or "crazy".
Why? because we believe in the U.S. Constitution, FREEDOM, Pro-Civil Liberties...?
If that makes me "crazy". I'm perfectly fine with that. :D

I don't fear criticism from anyone, and I don't care if I get made fun of or someone makes a smart alec comment.
I refuse to live in ignorance about what's going on around us.

TL-DNR

There is a lot of things to like about Ron Paul. His foreign policy scares me a little though.

At any rate. Paul for President is NEVER gonna happen. He is unelectable. It is idealistic at best. I wish that were not the case, but I am afraid it is. Trust me. I'd rather have Paul for President than Barry Obama. To me the most important thing, is nominating someone capable of beating Barry. The problem for Paul, is the old crotchidy Republicans aren't ever fonna vote for him. The Republicans in control of the RNC and the Republicans in the House and Senate, will never give Paul any credit for anything. Therefore the RNC will never support him or promote him. The GOP House and Senate leaders view Paul as a Gimmick. The RNC is afraid of Paul cause he represents a major blow to their way of life.

You are preaching to the choir. I'd love to see Paul get elected, but I know better. I know it won't happen. That is why I wan't to at least make sure someone gets nominated who can beat Barry. That is the most important thing right now.

OK, I went back and read it this time. I agree with most of what you said. It's all stuff I've heard before.

It goes back even further than this, but look at FDR and "The (RAW) Deal". Then LBJ's "The Great Society". Now, Barry's Obama Care.

I do think it is a little misguided of you to think you (your generation) are the only ones who can think for themselves. Get back to me in 10-20 years, we'll compare notes. No matter who you are. You get older, you realize how much you thought you knew that you didn't know. The same thing will be true of me in 20 years. I'll realize how much smarter I am then, than I was now. If that makes any sense.

Ok, I wasn't trying to get debate going. Just mentioning a sign wave we're doing.

And quite the contrary on what you said about Paul being "unelectable".
Santorum and Gingrich are not eligible for 564 delegates needed to win the nomination as they did not get the required amount of signatures to get on the ballots in many states.
They're possibility of winning the nomination, no matter what the lamestream media says, is mathematically impossible.
They CANNOT win the nomination.

This is a 2 man race between Romney and Paul.
Romney is already collapsing as we speak.
He may even lose Maine when everything is said and done.
And technically, in case you aren't aware, DELEGATES are what get you the nomination, not beauty contests (aka the straw polls, such as "look! I won Florida with the popular vote")
Ron Paul is winning with delegates!
He has more support and enthusiasm nationwide than any of the other candidates.

Also, you'll be interested to know, Ron Paul is the ONLY US Veteran running.
Ron Paul gets 6x the donations from active duty military than all the other GOP candidates COMBINED. He also gets 3x as much as Obama.

Most of our "foreign policy" is carried out through MILITARY action, not diplomacy, these days.
So what does that tell you if Ron Paul is getting way more than the other candidates and Obama, about his foreign policy?
Not so "wacky". The military seems to agree with Paul.

And what's so BAD about his foreign policy anyways?
Because he wants less occupying and policing the world? Because he knows that occupying all these countries and STILL being in places like Vietnam eliminate other countries sovereignty and bankrupts our country having to pay for it all in the process?
We are $16 trillion in DEBT!
We HAVE to make drastic cuts to the way we do things.
That's why Ron Paul has a plan to cut $1 trillion in the first year. Believes in cutting several departments (Energy, HUD, Education, and Interior), cutting foreign aid, ending TSA, etc.

All we hear about from Washington is how they're going to spend, spend, spend!

Our country is about to COLLAPSE and all they're thinking about is SPENDING? Are they kidding????
We cannot practice Keynesian economics, especially in our current economic debacle.

So yeah, I stand by my support for Ron Paul.

He IS electable, he's the only one who has an ACTUAL plan for our economic crisis, and much more.

And also, you're right. I certainly do not know everything, and I'm not totally saying MY generation is the "smart" ones and everyone else is dumb. That's totally not true. There are many smarter older people too. I was just saying we are more of the "information age" era. We're more informed than most of the older people. They're the types that flip on CNN and FOX and take everything they say to heart. That is fact.

Anyways, just an FYI, you all are invited to sign wave with us if you like. We can discuss more there. It's hard for me to type all this on my phone.

Again, your still not telling me anything I didn't already know. I don't say that to challenge you. Just to say that I am one of the "older people" that is informed. No, not just from Fox News. I don't watch CNN though. I get my information from a variety of sources, a wide range of sources. Then I make up my mind. I will disagree and caution you in regard to what you said in bold. You can chose to believe that if you want, but in my experience there are morons everywhere. All races, creeds, ages etc... There are also intelligent people everywhere. All races, creeds, ages etc... Most people are in between. But a majority of the people regardless of age, do not educate themselves properly to make informed decisions politically. The % difference between "informed" people and uninformed people across age ranges is minuscule. In other words the % of "informed" people amongst 18-30 year olds is no greater than the % of informed people amongst 30-40, 40-50, 50-60 year olds. I would agree that the elderly are more likely to be uninformed, but that is just because they are waiting to die. lol

You and I are informed, but we are the exception. Unfortunately.

If Ron Paul is elected with his foreign and homeland policies we will all be waiting to die! Borrowing a line, "Before I vote I ask myself would an idiot vote for him, then I won't."

You're probably not going to believe me but I swear it's true. I just happen to be in the Dallas./FTW area Friday night. Driving back home Saturday morning on IH-45 I thought to myself I"ve got to see this circus so I exited at Ennis and drove by the WalMart to see for myself how many people showed up waving a sign for Ron Paul. It was about 10:30 AM. Apparently the sign waving for Ron Paul was called off due to a lack of interest unless you count about a handful of young girls waving signs selling girl scout cookies. However, if the sell of the cookies went to Ron Paul's campaign fund then couint me in as a Paul supporter, bought 6 boxes. I hopped back on the interstate with a new found respect for Ennis, a nice conservative town. :usaflag:
