I like Attwood at safety. QB at Katy--in my mind--is more of a game manager than a highlighted position. Huddleston should do fine. I'll miss seeing Dimon at TE though. He was as much fun, or more, to watch in these opportunities. Rumble and watch D's cringe as they see him coming holding the ball...

The kid moving to TE might be bigger than Dimon at this time, incoming jr 6'5" not sure on the weight but he is pushing 240

Dimon was a beat on Defense.....and he NEVER came off the field.....imagine how effective he would be if he didnt go both ways.

You beat three teams and your in the playoffs, 7Lakes has some talent, if you cant make the playoffs in this district your pretty weak as a team...

Confidence, Timing and Scheduling....Seven Lakes can start district with 3 wins(Mayde Creek, Taylor and Strake)...thats 3 wins right there...and they always play Cinco tough. Morton Ranch Starts with Katy, Cinco and Memorial......if they come out of that 0-3.....they have to win out....

Right but 7L did not make the play-offs last year and there is no guarantee that they will beat MR.

And you think SBM will beat Morton Ranch?

I just feel like MR is being sold short here and because 7L has a new coach that all of a sudden magically they will be good. I don't buy it. I understand about wait and see for MR. I mean can they build on the success of last year? Who freaking knows for sure, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt over 7L.

I think the game between CR & Katy might be more interesting this year. Not in the 7L camp just yet. They've had opportunity after opportunity and let big leads dissipate before. Wary of the hype since I can't recall any PO's even after impressive early season starts in the past. Y'all are more aware than me though...

Katy vs CR will be like the last few years, Katy will dominate on both sides of the ball.

I think it will be more like 2008 and 2009. Cinco has improved a lot since last year.

What do you think the biggest factor was in the lopsided wins by Katy the last couple of years?

Hearing from some people it was guys not working as hard as they should have in 2010. Last year it was just a matter of flat out being out played and unforced errors. The talent and work ethic are there this year for Cinco and always is for Katy. For Cinco I think it will be how fast the young receivers mature, they have experience in other positions.

A LOT of people have questioned James...His freshman year, he and KC got into it about something and he basicly took himself out of that game....he has yet to be a factor in the series. If he played every game like he played the second half of the Bellaire game...he's be unstoppable

A lot of teams made Cinco one dimensional last year. Was it the RB not running hard or was the O line not able to block well or maybe both. So far that has not been an issue this season. Katy is the King until dethroned.

Katy will pound the rock next year and hit the big plays as teams start to crunch down... The defense will be very salty... Young kids have been stepping up, and at Katy kids live in the weight room and thats always a plus.... Special teams will be the weak link but will not hurt us in district play...
