The scrimmage with Llano and Blanco showed us there are some holes to fill. Llano is going to give Brownwood alot to handle this year, they're big, fast and like to hit. I thought we looked good against them. A couple of breakdowns at the line and Linebacker corp. But, overall good. Offense moved the ball well. Not Great, good. When Cam went out, we lost a lot of MO on offense. Were very weak at QB on 2nd string. He does alot of good things but, he gets tunnel vision and losses sight of the field. Decent arm but needs more arm strength. Running game was good, need to secure the ball better. Chuppy and Jake look good as tandem backs, both ran well. Outside line backers have got to do a better job of watching the flats and accross the middle passes. Saw a lot of arm tackles, not happy with that, but, some very good hits also. The best acquisition to Early Football this summer was Coach Doug Kemp, He gets excited, screams, encourages, coaches constantly on the field, off the field. Let him know how much you appreciate that. We have been missing that.
One side note, JV looked exceptional on the line offense and defense. QB was excellant.

I saw alot of good things and bad. Sorry not going to talk about the bad,as previously stated. Offense moved the ball very well when the snaps were on target. Cam Threw very well Isom has got some awesome hands, as does Riker. Excellant receiver corp.
Mareno and Fisher ran well, both had close to 70 yards each for the 2, 12 min live action. Most impressive was the offensive and defensive linemen, they looked great. If you see a lineman let them know they played tough. The main objective for Friday night will be to stop their running back, excellant tough runner. Stop him, and force Colton to go to the air, and let our safety and Cornerbacks do their jobs. Were one and one, lets go out and make 2-1. Hook'em Horns!

yes we will get it together we are better team than our performance indicated from last Fridays game we are going to do some great things this year.I'll be rooting for yall as well, i definately did when yall played Refugio (which i believe was the best state champ. game played last season) i dvr'd it and watched it a few times over the summer when i was going through HSFB w/d's.Yes I believe you guys will get better. Your QB is a shifty guy. Once he gets his timing down with those recievers they will be hard to stop. Will be cheering you guys on from here on out. Take the wood to San Saba!!

Defense just needs to plant their face in the ball carriers chest, wrap up and drive them down. Way too much arm tackling and jersey grabbing. If they will step and plant the ball carriers then will see a much better defense. They have to go lights out every play, quit expecting someone else to make the play, and lead their team. I expect to see some great things out Peyton Ashworth this week. He has had a great week of practice.
