During the first period neither side scored, although the line plunging of the Heights team kept the ball in Corpus Christi territory a large part of the time. The game was called several times during the period while officials ordered the crowd back. Corpus Christi tried but one forward pass during this period and it failed completely. The second, third, and fourth periods were filled with action. Corpus Christi battled hard for its single score. No casualties were reported.
