Chandler Morris’ commitment is official.
Despite his father, Chad Morris, being recently named offensive coordinator at Auburn, his 4-star quarterback is not following.
The Highland Park standout committed with Oklahoma on Thursday, and during his announcement, he mentioned Lincoln Riley and his prolific offense helped make the decision.
Morris credits his dad as a role model and guide during the recruiting process, but felt at home in Norman.
Flashing a “Horns down” sign with a big smile on his face, Morris pulled a Sooners’ hat out of a bag.
Will Morris be the next Heisman trophy winner to come out of Oklahoma? Time will tell, but one thing is for sure, the Sooners just plucked one of Texas’ top talents.
