LSU has another piece of top Texas talent to go along with all the prospects they regularly pull from the Lone Star State. Jarell Cherry of Dallas Carter has officially committed to the Tigers.

There’s a chance that Cherry could end up as an outside linebacker in LSU’s 3-4 defense. He’s 6’3, 230 lbs, and he has some serious wheels to go along with his long frame. He still has room to fill out in terms of muscle, and it’ll be interesting to see what LSU does with him.
The Carter Cowboys went 5-5 in 2016. If they’re to ascend to great heights again, they’ll need guys like Cherry in their senior seasons to step up in a huge way.
