As the NFL Combine gets under way this week from Indianapolis, more than 300 players will workout, interview, and try to impress scouts from all 32 NFL franchises. These athletes come from all across the country, but there is no shortage of Texas high school football talent participating.

35 former Texas high school football will have that opportunity this week at the Combine. Of those 35 players, 17 of them were Friday night stars in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. They make up nearly half of all the Texas high school football alumni heading to Indianapolis. The list of high school alumni from the Metroplex is listed below.

LSU S Jamal Adams (Hebron)
Ole Miss WR Quincy Adeboyejo (Cedar Hill)
TCU DE Josh Carraway (Flower Mound Marcus)
Virginia Tech QB Jerod Evans (Mansfield)
Louisville DE Devonte Fields (Arlington Martin)
Baylor C Kyle Fuller (Wylie)
Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett (Arlington Martin)
Texas A&M DE Daeshon Hall (Lancaster)
Oklahoma State DB Ashton Lampkin (Fort Worth Dunbar)
West Virginia DE Noble Nwachukwu (Wylie)
Baylor QB Seth Russell (Garland)
Utah OL Sam Tevi (Euless Trinity)
Stanford DE Solomon Thomas (Coppell)
Oklahoma DT Charles Walker (South Garland)
Cal QB Davis Webb (Prosper)
Houston CB Howard Wilson (DeSoto)
Arkansas DE Deatrich Wise (Hebron)

Some of those are well-recognized names including but certainly not limited to Myles Garrett, Jamal Adams, and Solomon Thomas. All three athletes are projected as Top 10 picks on Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski’s latest mock draft. Others, such as Charles Walker and Seth Russell, are looking to prove themselves after injuries ended of each their seasons early. The NFL Combine provides that opportunity to everyone this week; we’ll see which former high school star from the Metroplex shines in Indianapolis.
