D’Onta Foreman Picked In The Third Round By The Houston Texans

Longhorn fan favorite D’Onta Foreman won’t have to venture too far from home at the next level. The Texas running back has been selected 89th overall in the third round by the Houston Texans.

It was a struggle of a year for the Texas Longhorns. They didn’t make a bowl game with their 5-7 record, and had some embarrassing losses along the way. One of the bright spots was Foreman, who rushed for a ridiculous 2,028 yards and 15 touchdowns without a bowl game to pad his stats. He was a workhorse for the Longhorns, he had 51 carries in an overtime loss to the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Texans are getting a bona fide workhorse in Foreman. He can do it all, from rushing to blocking, and his catching out of the backfield is improving. He’s a guy that can go between the tackles 20-30 times a game and can hang, and he’s an asset for any NFL franchise.
