The Texas Longhorns will be without the program’s top-rated recruit from the 2014 signing class for the 2016 season. According to multiple reports, defensive end Derick Roberson is transferring out of the program and will play at FCS Sam Houston State as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.

Roberson arrived at Texas as the No. 64 overall prospect in the country in the 2014 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
