Our story on FBU scholarship recipient Joey Adams struck a chord — a profile of a player working through adversity and earning every achievement in his life. Through his struggle, FBU was inspired to give him a scholarship to their San Antonio camp — a training ground for future college prospects tutored under the educated eye of former NFL players.

After an impressive showing in the Alamo City, Texas HS Football and the FBU are teaming together give Joey another scholarship to the Houston camp, where he will continue honing his skills for his upcoming senior season.

“I am very excited for this opportunity,” Joey said. “The Lord has put this in place for me for a reason. I’m beyond ready and I’m going to give it my all like I did in San Antonio.”

Since 2007, the FBU has mentored over 40,000 students, showing that technique added with talent trumps skill by itself. The curriculum in the film room and on the Gridiron is bolstered by the only NFL-level lead staff in the nation.
