Moments after the 2016 NFL Draft ended, Pete Robertson got the call — and the opportunity — for a chance to reach the professional level.

The former Lobo and Texas Tech standout fit the fill.

After receiving an invite to attend its rookie mini camp this past weekend, Robertson has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Monday.

“I’m just elated for him,” Longview head football coach John King said. “He’s a young man that has worked hard for every single thing he’s received.
