A Perryton High School junior varsity football player suffered a severe injury during a game at Bushland High on Thursday night.
Chris Leanos, a junior, was recovering at Northwest Texas Hospital on Friday after brain surgery. He remained in an induced coma.
Leanos suffered a blow to the head before halftime and collapsed on the field.
