Kellen Moore Re-Signs With Cowboys

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys have addressed their situation with their backup quarterback. No, it’s not that one. Rather, it’s with Kellen Moore, who has re-signed with Dallas on a one-year deal. The move was announced on Monday by the team.

Moore did not play in 2016 after breaking his leg during the first week of training camp. He was slated to be the backup behind Tony Romo. After his injury and following Romo’s injury during the preseason, it gave Dak Prescott a chance in the spotlight. The rest, as they say, is history as Prescott led Dallas to a 13-3 record, an NFC East division title and the top overall seed in the NFC playoffs.

Per Todd Archer, Moore’s deal is for one year although the Cowboys did not disclose terms. Moore started two games for Dallas in 2015.
