The Cleveland Browns received some considerably good news regarding No. 1 pick Myles Garrett on Saturday. After suffering a left foot injury at this week’s minicamp and being seen in a walking boot, Garrett has been diagnosed with a lateral foot sprain and is expected to return to the field in time for training camp.

“After being evaluated by Browns head team physician Dr. James Voos of University Hospitals and foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson of OrthoCarolina, Myles Garrett has been diagnosed with a lateral foot sprain,” the Browns’ statement said. “He is expected to be ready for training camp.”

Garrett is widely expected to emerge as a year-one contributor for the Browns and Saturday’s diagnoses will see Garrett’s left foot sprain to serve simple as a minor setback. The initial fear on the Browns end was any possible structural damage.

The Browns’ training camp kicks off in late July.
