Ira fans went home happy on Friday night. Their hometown heroes used a strong passing game to defeat Anton 62-30. Karson Valentine was Mr. Do Everything for the Bulldogs on Friday night. Offensively, he finished 8 of 9 passing for 168 yards and two touchdowns, four carries for 26 yards and a score and even caught a 19-yard touchdown pass. He was also the team’s kicker, making 7 of 8 extra points on the night. Defensively, he had 11 solo tackles, three assists and an interception.
The Anton Bulldogs made a valiant attempt using 45 plays to gain 246 offensive yards. Unfortunately they were only able to complete four of 15 pass attempts and were penalized 11 times for a total of 95 yards.
