District by District Projections |
Now that our Class 5A Statewide & Regional rankings are out to the public and has generated quite a bit of conversation, let's give you just how we projected each and every district, which led up to the formation of our regional rankings and then the statewide rankings. Consistency at the start of the year with each of our district projections is very valuable. At no point to start the season will you see a third place team ahead of second place team in the rankings.
Also in this release, we not only will bring you the full district projections, we also bring you the way we have ranked each and every single one of the districts and not just a top six statewide list. Along with the district rankings, you will also get to see how each district stacks up region by region. As for how the district rankings are determined, there are a variation of factors. Two of the most obvious factors are the powers within the district and the competitiveness of the district. Other factors includes talent within the district, the playoff potential of each district and overall strength of each team in the district.
At the right, you will see a region by region breakdown of how the districts ranking from a statewide perspective. The regional and statewide ranking is also available just above the district's projection. Also take note that the projected Division I representative is listed in a light yellow shade. Below is a quick jump to each region's district projections. To get you ready for the season, we have also included in the district projections are links to each team's team store from the Texas HS Football Team Shop.
