Texans Look To Keep Season Afloat Against Ravens

Mathematically speaking, the Houston Texans are still alive in the playoff hunt. To keep that statement true, they would likely need to win the remaining games on the schedule.

That starts with a Baltimore Ravens team who plays better than the record states.

Texan quarterback Tom Savage will have to be better than he has been, a tough task against a stern Baltimore defense. In his starts, he has thrown four touchdowns to three interceptions while leading the Texans to a 2-3 record.

The Ravens defense has 16 interceptions on the year, leading the NFL. It will look to continue the defensive dominance as they hold the final AFC playoff spot at 5-5.

The Ravens offense has seen struggles though. It’s passing offense is ranked last in the NFL, but it’s facing a Texan defense which ranks 26th against the pass. For Joe Flacco, this could be a chance to get things rolling before the final stretch, which includes three games against divisional opponents.

In the last six games for Houston (4-6), it will face four potential playoff teams. The loss of rookie Deshaun Watson has been felt as the offense has slowed down immensely. The unit will need to step up and score much like last week if it hopes to take out the Ravens.

Baltimore won’t score much as it has its own offensive struggles, but its defense is one of the best in the league.

Final Prediction

Houston -17

Baltimore – 20
