Welcome to the 2015 TexasHSFootball.com Bracket Challenge, which is a competition based on results of the 2015 Texas High School Football Playoffs. Participants will attempt to select/pick the winners of all the games of the bracket of their choice. Participants will earn points by correctly predicting, through their Bracket, the winning team of each game on their bracket. The number of points awarded for each correct pick of a winning game on the bracket will increase with each round of the playoffs. One prize (as defined below) will be awarded to the participant with the most points from each bracket.
The challenge will begin on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 and the deadline to get your bracket turned into [email protected] is Friday, November 13, 2015 at 7pm.
Participants must enter their projected winners of the remaining games on the bracket, round by round, beginning with the area (second) round. Points will be awarded by multiplying your number of correct predictions of winning teams in each round of the bracket by the weight assigned to each applicable round. For example, you would receive five (5) points for five correct predictions of winning teams in the area round, and forty (40) points for five correct predictions of winning teams in the quarterfinals round. You will receive an individual score for each of the rounds (area to finals) that accumulate points in the bracket; and an overall score, which is the combined total of your individual round scores.
Scoring
Area Round-1pt, Regional Round-4pts, Quarterfinals-8pts, Semi-Finals- 16pts, Finals-32pts
Prize
For each division there will be one winner. For example, 6A Division I will have a winner and 6A Division II will have another winner. The winners will receive a $25 gift card to Academy Sports and Outdoors.
In an event of a tie we will have a drawing. You will be notified if you are in the tiebreaker and when it will take place.
When you click on the bracket you want it will bring you to the pdf version of the bracket. You can save that to your computer and use a pdf editor to type on it or you can print it out, write your picks, then scan it into [email protected].
