The Greatest Shots Of The TXHSFB State Championships

Journalism is nothing without photography — a crucial snapshot of digital imagery that illustrates moments that words cannot. It’s been nearly four months since the UIL State Championship games, and the images of our picture master John Glaser still have a lasting effect on our website. I’ve worked with John numerous times throughout the year; he’s a weirdo — like me — and one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, besides myself of course. Our coverage of last years title games would be inferior without his keen eye to detail, capturing both moments of triumph and heartbreak on high school football’s biggest stage.

We decided to pay tribute to John’s body of work and collect his best pieces throughout the aforementioned period. Imagine a photography exhibit of the gridiron, each framed work illuminated by the bright beams of Friday night lights.
