Just when he set a record, he did it again.

Former Clemens grad Frank Harris made his mark on UTSA history for the second consecutive week, breaking another program record that he set the previous weekend. In the Roadrunners 45-30 victory over Middle Tennessee on Friday night in the Conference USA opener, Harris threw for a university-leading 414 yards. He also threw for four touchdowns. It was the second straight week for setting a school record for passing yards in a game; the performance was the first 400+ yard performance in school history.

So far, Harris has recorded 1,724 passing yards in five games. Regardless, he’s not letting it go to his head.

“I don’t play for those accolades,” Harris said post-game. “I come out here and try to win the game.”

The senior from Schertz Clemens also became the program’s career leader in passing yards with 7,017, surpassing Eric Soza’s school standard of 6,952 set from 2011-13.

“I’m always going to love 0,” running back Brendan Brady said. “He’s a huge part of this offense. Some would say the heartbeat of this offense. I’m really proud of that man. I love that man to death.”

The Roadrunners are currently defending their first C-USA title. They next host Western Kentucky in a rematch from last December’s championship game.
