#1 Wide Receiver Announces College Commitment
The #1 wide receiver in the nation and top Texas high school recruit has committed to Oregon.
Duncanville wide receiver Dakorien Moore, a top class of 2024 recruit, has committed to play for the Oregon Ducks. Moore had previously committed to LSU before lifting his commitment in April. Initially, most thought the Texas Longhorns would land Moore. As time passed, Ohio State became the overwhelming favorite to land Moore. However, Oregon Head Coach Dan Lanning beat out Texas and LSU and got the commitment from Moore.
Moore is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver nationwide by ESPN and 247Sports. The 5’11”, 185-pound receiver was pivotal in Duncanville’s back-to-back UIL 6A D1 state championships. Moore’s commitment to the Ducks and five-star recruits Jordon Davison and Dorian Brew have propelled Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class to No. 3 nationally. Coach Dan Lanning’s focus on strong relationships and securing top talent is paying off, as evidenced by Moore’s pledge.
