“It was a tough decision to make but, I will be decommitting from Florida State University,” Murray said in his Twitter announcement. “I will be opening my recruitment back up 100%. They’re still still in my top schools definitely. I feel I made a lifetime decision to early in the process.”

A three-star prospect, recruiting interest in Murray’s services has continually increased since his commitment to Florida State during March 2016 and he now holds 12 total offers with programs such as Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame, TCU and Tennessee. Texas A&M and Houston have offered early this month, as well, while Murray also has interest in Texas and Ohio State, though they’re yet to offer.

As far as far as Florida State is concerned, despite Murray’s decommitment, Jimbo Fisher’s 2019 class currently ranks No. 1 nationally, headlined by four-star Georgia offensive tackle pledge Wanya Morris.

Slotted as the nation’s No. 289 player, according to 247Sports, Murray was the lowest-ranked pledge of Florida State’s seven-man class prior to his Sunday night decommitment.

The 6’1, 320-pounds is also ranked as the nation’s No. 18 defensive tackle and the No. 44 player in Texas.
