2023 Fan Vote Polls Announcement
Last year, we rolled out our Fan Vote Polls. They were very popular, thanks to the tremendous fans of Texas high school football. This year, we are formalizing the polls more, and offering more incentives and awards. And, the more you vote and share the polls, the more we’ll be able to offer in awards and incentives.
Like last year, the polls will allow for users to vote multiple times, and there will be several security measures in place and some limitations on voting frequency to ensure the security and integrity of the polls.
Here is our plan for the 2023 Fan Vote Polls.
Pre-Season Fan Favorite Vote All-Texas Teams
- August 10th through the 25th.
- Offense: August 12-19
- Defense: August 20-27th.
- Texas HS Football Fan Favorite Pre-Season Player of the Year: August 28-Sept 2nd
- This is the same polls we conducted last year. The pre-season votes are for fun and to get us all hyped for the season. The names in the polls are based on the nominations from our audience. We will be combining all divisions into one poll per position. We will promote the winners through our website and social media, and the top vote-getters will be offered an interview on our Texas HS Football Podcast.
- The Top 10 overall vote-getters from all of the polls will then compete in a poll to be the 2023 Texas HS Football Fan Favorite Pre-Season Player of the Year. The winner will earn a pizza party for their team, they’ll be featured on our website and social media and be interviewed on our Texas HS Football Podcast. They will also be sent an award. The Top 5 finishers will all be automatically granted a spot in the end-of-season player of the Year poll for their position.
- **Next year we will star the polls 2 weeks earlier so that they are complete before the season kicks off. This season, some teams will have played 2 games before the last poll ends***
Player of the Week
- Sunday through Wednesday
- TexasHSFootball.com will select the nominees.
- Each week, we will post a Player of the Week poll on our website on Sundays, and voting will be live through Wednesdays. There will be one overall poll for all divisions. The winner will be sent a certificate, and be featured on our website and social media. The second and third vote-getters will be awarded Honorable Mention: Player of the Week. The Top 3 vote getters will all be entered into our Player of the Month Poll.
- The Player of the Week winners will be sent a player of the week helmet decal, and other prizes.
Player of the Month
- We will break the season into 3 months and have 3 polls.
- Each poll will last for 1 week.
- Month 1: Week 1 through Sept 15th
- Month 2: Sept 16th through October 14th
- Month 3: October 15th through End of Regular Season.
- The Player of the Month Poll nominees will be compromised of the top Player of the Week vote-getters.
- The winner of the poll will win a pizza party for their team, and will be sent an award. They will also be featured in a permanent spot on our website.
2023 All-Texas Teams
- Polls start November 23rd and go through January.
- Each poll will last 1 week.
- Each division will have a poll for each position.
- All nominees for the polls will be selected by TexasHSFootball.com based on their 2023 season performance.
- The winners of the polls will make the 2023 All-Texas Team, which will be featured in a permanent place on our website and in our 2023 Texas HS Football Magazine.
- The Top Vote-Getters in each division will be entered into a Player of the Year poll for their division. The winner of that poll will be sent an award and be featured on our website and in an interviews on our Texas HS Football Podcast. The Top 2 vote-getters in each of those polls will be entered into the Mr. Texas HS Football Player of the Year poll. The Player of the Year winner will be featured in a magazine article, on our website and social media, and sent an award and prizes.
*Note: In the unforeseen and unlikely circumstance that there is any issue with a poll resulting in a poll not being available for more than 2 hours, that poll will be extended for the amount of time that the poll was not accessible, and a clear disclaimer of the new poll end time will be listed above the poll.
