ISU gets a Texas tailback commit

NORMAL — Illinois State football’s recruiting push into Texas has paid off with the addition of another high school standout, while the Redbirds also have reached north from the Lone Star State to grab two more prep stars from Oklahoma and Kansas.

Artiss Henderson, a tailback from MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, has committed to sign a national letter of intent with ISU on Feb. 3 as have linemen Chandler Anthony of Tuttle, Okla., and Trey Georgie of Lawrence, Kan.
