Todd Graham is moving far from home.
A graduate from North Mesquite in 1983, Graham went to become a coaching staple in Texas, serving as an assistant at Poteet before becoming the head coach at Allen for five years from 1995 to 2000.
He also was head coach at Tulsa and Rice.
Now, however, his career is carrying him across the Pacific Ocean after being named head coach at Hawaii.
Graham stepped away from the game for the past two years after spending a decade splitting time as head coach at Pittsburgh (2011) and Arizona State (2012-2017).
He takes over for Nick Rolovich, who left to become the head coach at Washington State.
Hawaii went 18-11 over the past two seasons.
