Austin Roof Inspection

Jermaine Bishop Jr. delivered a night to remember, rushing for 301 yards and five total touchdowns as Willis stunned No. 11 state-ranked The Woodlands 42-30 at Yates Stadium.

The Highlanders surged to a 14-0 lead behind early scores from Cody Jordan and Jameson Gavin, but Bishop ignited the Wildkats’ comeback. He powered in for two first-half rushing scores and threw a touchdown to Jaivion Martin with seconds left before halftime, tying the game 21-21.

Bishop opened the third quarter with a 92-yard sprint to give Willis its first lead and later added a 33-yard dagger with under four minutes left. Along the way he piled up 301 rushing yards on 26 carries while also punting and passing for scores.

Willis’ defense sealed the win, forcing two fumbles, including a 64-yard return for a touchdown, and delivering key fourth-down stops against TCU commit Jack Daulton.

The victory keeps the Wildkats (3-1, 2-0) in command of District 13-6A and extends their district winning streak to 18 games. The Woodlands drops to 3-1 and 1-1 in league play.
