Highland Park Dominates Reedy 45-10 to Reach Region Semifinals

Austin Roof Inspection

Highland Park shook off a slow start and exploded offensively, rolling past Frisco Reedy 45-10 in a Class 5A Division I area playoff matchup at the Ford Center at The Star. After managing just 26 total yards in a scoreless first quarter, the Scots erupted for 45 points over the final three quarters and dominated with 453 yards of offense.

Harrison Cullum delivered one of the night’s defining performances, hauling in touchdown passes of 55 and 40 yards as part of his season-high 117-yard outing. Quarterback Buck Randall found his rhythm as well, throwing for 311 yards and three scores, while Matthew White added two rushing touchdowns, including a 46-yard burst to open the second half that sparked a 31-0 Highland Park run.

Reedy briefly kept things close behind an interception from Grayson Jennings and an 18-yard touchdown catch by Ben Francis late in the first half. But playing without standout quarterback Lincoln Harn for the second straight week, the Lions couldn’t sustain drives and finished with just 121 total yards, including 29 after halftime. Highland Park’s defense tightened throughout the night, highlighted by a fourth-quarter interception from Ronan Moreland.

Highland Park earned its 11th straight win and advances to face Frisco Wakeland or Cedar Park in next week’s Region II semifinal. Reedy’s season ends at 8-4, eliminated by the Scots for the second consecutive postseason
