Hamilton powered into the quarterfinals with a convincing 29-7 win over Carlisle on Friday at Corsicana High School. The Bulldogs controlled the game from start to finish, extending their win streak to eight and improving to 11-2 on the season. Carlisle, which entered the night at 7-5, struggled to generate momentum against one of the region’s most consistent defenses and closed their season at 7-6.
Hamilton’s victory followed a familiar script. The Bulldogs have dominated opponents all year, winning nine games by more than 20 points, and Friday’s regional playoff matchup was no exception. Their offense continued its impressive stretch, averaging more than 38 points during the streak, while the defense held firm and kept Carlisle from mounting a serious challenge.
With the win, Hamilton advances to face Axtell in the quarterfinal round. Both teams have allowed very few points this season, setting the stage for a defensive showdown next week. Carlisle’s season comes to an end, while Hamilton moves one step closer to a deep playoff run
