Crosby Key Players and Storylines
It’s a brand new adventure for Crosby in 2026 as the Cougars get ready to play 6A football for the first time ever. They’ll do it with a new but familiar head coach. Crosby promoted defensive coordinator Jabara Williams to head coach back in January.
He has plenty of talent to work with when it comes to the Cougar defense. Eight starters are back from a unit that allowed only 20.9 points per game a year ago.
They’ll be rock solid in the middle of the field with playmaking linebackers Sirr Soileau (90 tackles, eight TFLs) and Adam Sloan (67 tackles, four TFLs). Behind them, physical safety Josh Jackson (37 tackles) has great instincts and “will be the quarterback of the defense.”

Offensively, quarterback Lott Robison (2,049 passing yards and 25 touchdowns) is back behind center. He brings the Cougar offense a different dynamic due to his ability to make plays with his feet. Junior running back Owen Morris (340 rushing yards and five touchdowns) is prepared to step in as Crosby’s bell cow after the Cougars graduated their leading rusher. He’ll have a big offensive line to run behind with three-year letterman Javery Allen leading the way at left tackle.
Williams said Crosby has “some of the best talent in the state.” That was on display back in 2020 when the Cougars made it all the way to the 5A Division II state title game.
Pieces still need to come together under the new coaching staff, but if the Cougars can find some more playmakers at the offensive skill positions, Williams believes this group has what it takes to turn some heads.
