Strake Jesuit Key Players and Storylines

Strake Jesuit broke through in 2025, capturing its first district title in 17 years. Now, they’ll try to repeat that feat in a brand new district with seven Fort Bend ISD schools.

The Crusaders return eight total starters. The offensive line should be a strength led by incredibly tough 6’1”, 285-pound senior Brady Kerrigan. Behind them, senior running back Grayson Ochoa (781 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns) has the tall task of trying to replace a 3,600-yard rusher, while junior quarterback Zander Hoover is ready to seize his opportunity at running the offense.

On the other side of the ball, the Crusaders have a strong core at linebacker with 2025 leading tackler Cameron McNulty (97 tackles, eight TFLs) and physical outside linebacker Paolo Masso. In the secondary, safety Luke Leone reads the game really well and led the district last year with four interceptions.

The graduation of 14 starters means that the Crusaders will be young in some spots this year. However, if those players can grow up quickly and the team can stay healthy as a whole, head coach Donovan Fikac believes this group has the pieces to make another deep playoff run.
