Fulshear Key Players and Storylines

It’s a new-look district for Fulshear in 2026. The Chargers slide over to 23-6A where they join Waller and four Cy-Fair ISD schools.

They expect to be able to compete for a district title with a very experienced group. Offensively, they averaged 39.6 points per game last year, and they should be able to challenge opposing secondaries again. Receiver Ryland Forks (944 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns) is their go-to playmaker, while fellow receiver Tre Clewis (884 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns) has the speed to stretch the field.

In the rushing attack, junior running back Jayelen Collins (502 rushing yards and four touchdowns) should find room to run behind powerful 6’5″, 320-pound offensive lineman Righteous Stewart.

Defensively, turnover-forcing safety Liam Clay (50 tackles, three INTs) will lead from the back, while 6’2″ cornerback Jax Drain (22 tackles, two INTs) can match up with just about anyone with his size. Up front, the Chargers will turn to defensive ends Tife Taiwo and Dieko Ojajuni (36 tackles, 20 TFLs) to generate pressure off the edge.

Head coach Stephen Hill loves how hard his guys play on Friday nights. The Chargers will have to settle in a new starting quarterback, but the returning skill talent should help ease that transition as they chase after a playoff run this fall.
