Week Four was filled with byes, making it be relatively bad in terms of pre-weekend intrigue. However, there were several games and performances that were noteworthy. Here are our picks for Player of the Week for Week Four.
Eno Benjamin – Wylie East – QB/RB
Benjamin was forced into the quarterback role after an injury to the normal starter. He’s been working out of a wildcat role mostly, focusing on rushing more than passing. It worked out well for him against North Forney, he gained a whopping 314 yards and 6 TDs on the ground to go along with 2 TDs through the air. There might not be anything Eno Benjamin can’t do.
Eric Ezukanma – Keller Timber Creek – WR
Timber Creek lost to Denton last week by a score of 28-37, but Ezukanma had his hands in all of his team’s points. He had 14 catches for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns in his losing effort, nearly 3/4ths of teammate Cade Schrader’s 416 passing yards. Keller Timber Creek will be back thanks to this dynamic duo, rest assured.
Mark Adams – New Deal – RB
West Texas sure is producing some firepower. The latest ridiculous performance from the South Plains comes from New Deal, where running back Mark Adams averaged 21.6 yards per carry, according to MaxPreps. He got 19 carries and turned them into 411 yards and 5 touchdowns. Adams’s heroics didn’t stop there, he had 132 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns as well.
