Around here we live football 24/7! Occasionally we like to take a timeout and bring attention to our partners, especially when it has to do with our schools and the people behind the scenes striving to make things better. A few weeks ago we teamed up with an incredible organization called Go Public. What they’re doing for the public schools in San Antonio is something we should all take notice of.
Go Public is a campaign to generate better awareness of the facts about San Antonio-area independent public school districts and the wonderful, life-changing things that happen in schools every day. With 16 San Antonio-area school districts participating, the effort showcases the choices and opportunities that only public schools can provide. The stories of students on their roads to success, teachers providing rigor and excellence and proud parents remind us that our schools are our community. Check out this video here.
It’s exciting to see all the great things students can get involved in in public schools, while receiving an outstanding education. Dedicated school teachers, staff and volunteers are who make up our schools and often go above and beyond on a daily basis. Their commitment supports students in their participation in football, band, cheerleading, art, drama and academics to name a few.

In my opinion there’s no better place to celebrate public schools than by lifting up and celebrating the teachers that instruct our children everyday and support students on their roads to success.
To all of our public school teachers, principals, school staff and administrators in San Antonio and throughout Texas, thank you for doing what you you do every day. Thank you for having the will power, drive and patience to educate our future. You’re making a difference everyday.
