Aledo vs. Justin Northwest
Two undefeated teams match up, but one of them has a slight bit more prestige than the other. Aledo is one of the most well known teams in the state, and has won a huge amount of games and state titles. Justin Northwest is one year away from being a one-win team. This one’s going to be an offensive shootout as both teams look to remain perfect.
Alief Taylor vs. Pearland Dawson
Taylor is looking to remain perfect as well as they take on a Pearland Dawson team that’s put together a very impressive schedule. Dawson’s got wins over George Ranch, Pearland, and their only loss is to Dickinson, who’s not that bad themselves. This will be the most difficult game on both team’s schedules so far, and the defenses are sure to impress.
Andrews vs. Clint
Andrews is taking their dominant offense to Clint, where they’ll face one of the toughest opponents on the 2016 roster. Clint plays some serious defense, so Andrews will have to be on top of their offensive game if they want to walk out of their own house with a win this Friday.
Teague vs. Malakoff
It’s part II of the showdown for the 9-3A title. Last year featured the same teams going blow-for-blow for the district championship, and hopefully we can get more of the same this year. There’s only one loss in these two teams’s records, but after Friday Night, someone’s going home with another L on their record.
Richmond Foster vs. Angleton
Foster puts their undefeated record on the line on the road at Angleton, who’s 7-1 with some bad intentions for anyone they play. The Wildcats’ defense has been exposed a tad, but it’s still a fundamentally sound unit that simply plays fast. Foster’s powerful offense will have a tough time moving the ball against Angleton, but will have to in order to get the win.
