It’s Monday Night Football, this week has the Indianapolis Colts taking on the New York Jets. Colts need a win to force a three-way tie in the AFC south. Players in the game will have ties to Texas high schools, so lets take a look who they are.
Indianapolis Colts
OT Le’Raven Clarck
From Rockdale and went to school at Texas Tech is a rookie and has played in four games but has yet to start a game.
QB Andrew Luck
Attended Stafford High School and is one of the best QBs in the game, but has no offensive line to protect him. This is Luck’s first start since returning from a concussion.
LB Josh McNary
Attending Clear Lake High School and played collegiately at Army. McNary is in his third year in the league and in 2016 has 63 tackles with .5 sacks.
CB Darryl Morris
Attended Warren High School in San Antonio and played his collegiate ball at Texas State. Morris is currently with his 4th NFL team and has played sparingly this year.
DT Hassan Ridgeway
Rookie from the University of Texas and Mansfield, Ridegway has 13 tackles and .5 sacks in his debut season.
New York Jets
TE Eric Tomlinson
UTEP and Klein, Tomlinson is in his 2nd season in the NFL and first season not on a practice squad. He has yet to record a catch in his career.
QB Bryce Petty
The former Baylor Bear and Midlothian standout has appeared in two games this year with one start. 21 for 34 with 152 yards, a touchdown and an interception are his stats for the season and if Ryan Fitzpatrick gets hurt, Petty is the backup, so he is one play from being the starter again.
