Here are some photos from Saturday’s state semifinal action. When the dust had settled, the 24 teams to play at AT&T Stadium for a state title had been decided.
In San Antonio, Lake Travis dominated Atascocita and Cibolo Steele took down Katy Cinco Ranch to punch their state title tickets. In San Marcos, the red-hot Temple Wildcats took down another undefeated contender in Richmond Foster.
In Austin, The Woodlands held off a late rally from Allen to advance to the Class 6A Division 1 championship game.
In Houston, DeSoto’s defense stepped up and forced four fourth-quarter turnovers from Klein Collins to advance to their first ever state title game.
