Waco University found their new head football coach from a strange route: the basketball court. The new coach of the Waco University Trojans will be the head basketball coach, Rodney Smith.
Rodney Smith comes to the Trojans after the football team posted an 0-10 season in 2016. According to the Waco Tribune, Smith received many phone calls of support from colleagues and friends, and was officially thrown into consideration after it was recognized that he wasn’t applying as a joke, but was very serious.
Waco University’s last win was in 2013, as of now their current losing streak stands at 36.
