It hasn’t been the worst offseason for the Dallas Cowboys, but it hasn’t been the best either. Yesterday, news that Nolan Carroll, a defensive back, was arrested for DWI.

This arrest will almost certainly affect the Cowboys’ depth on defense. The team struggles at times in 2016, and has already lost both of their starting cornerbacks to free agency.

The arrest could force Chidobe Awuzie, the Cowboys’ second round pick, into more service than was previously thought, provided that there is punishment for the arrest. Whoever the Cowboys decide to go with, they’re going to be very young in the defensive backfield holistically, that much is certain.
