Who is the best high school football team in Texas? Max Preps says that it is Duncanville. With the season getting underway this week, these rankings will be put to the test. One team already climbing up the rankings is Argyle.
The Argyle Eagles improved their record to 4-0 with a 35-7 win over La Vega. They previously beat Decatur 56-9, Pleasant Grove 52-41, and Celina 34-21. With 5-6A starting to play this week, and a matchup with 4-0 Melissa, it will be challenging for the Eagles to hold on to the #10 spot, but it is a testament to their great start of the season to see them up there in the rankings with the much larger schools.
Changes in the Top 25 also worth noting, Westlake dropped 3 spots to #15, and Pleasant Grove moved up 5 spots to #21.
Following this week, we will be publishing our own Top 25 Rankings. We thought it best for each team to play their first games before we ranked them. In the meantime, here is Max Preps Top 25 list.
