What was the highlight of your 2022 football season?
The highlight of my season was becoming the captain of our team. It was amazing to be my first year on varsity and also be a captain. I couldn’t wait to be one of the leaders of our team.
What was the biggest challenge you or your team had to overcome this season?
I think the hardest challenge was overcoming the tough non-district games we had. We played three 6A schools and competed really well. We overcame that challenge and kept our heads up, and came into district play with a big win against East View.
If you could give advice to an incoming freshmen football player, what would it be?
My advice would be to always work hard and be ready for anything because you never know when it is your chance to play, and you have to be ready to step in and get the job done.
If you had to go to an island and only bring 3 things, what would you bring?
I would for sure bring a machete and probably a first aid kit and, of course, huge jugs of water.

What is your go-to pre-game pump-up song?
I would say, No Sucker by Lil Baby and Moneybagg Yo
Why do you love football?
I love football because there is really no other sport like it. You build a bond with your teammates and coaches that lasts a life time. It was my first sport, and I’ve loved it ever since I can remember. I will always love it, and it’s created so many good memories that I will carry with me throughout my life.
