Fort Bend Bush Head Coach Passes Away

Allen Aldridge, head football coach at Fort Bend Bush High School, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52, the district announced on Monday. A former NFL linebacker, Aldridge played for the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions, winning a Super Bowl with the Broncos in 1997.

Aldridge, who graduated from Willowridge High School and the University of Houston, spent 20 years coaching at Bush, including 15 years as head coach. He was known for his commitment to developing players into men of integrity and pride, often showing his Super Bowl ring to inspire them.

His family indicated that he fell ill on Sunday and passed away soon after. Aldridge’s impact on the Fort Bend community was profound, and his unexpected loss leaves a significant void. Funeral services have yet to be announced.
