Celina’s defense proved formidable, stifling Sulphur Springs’ offense and forcing multiple three-and-outs, not letting Sulphur Springs anywhere near the endzone. Despite the pressure, Celina scored again before halftime, leading 21-0 as they headed into the break. The second half saw Celina maintain their intensity, adding 10 more points to extend their lead to 31-0. Sulphur Springs finally managed to get on the scoreboard, but it was too late to mount a comeback. The game concluded with Celina securing a decisive 31-6 victory as Celina would stay on top in the 4a division.
