On Friday, September 13th, Allen traveled to Prosper to take on the Rockhill Blue Hawks in each team’s first district game of the year. Allen is coming off a dominating 42-14 win over Cedar Hill. After keeping it close at halftime with the Longhorns, the Eagles took the game away in the second half. Rockhill is 1-1 on the season, coming off a dominating 43-7 win over Sherman, where it was all ground game for the Blue Hawks.
First Half
The game started hot for the Eagles as Bricker completed a 52-yard touchdown pass to Carter Harris as the Eagles were just getting started. The Blue Hawks couldn’t get anything going in the first quarter, only managing a field goal to trail Allen 7-3. The second quarter was all Allen as they scored 15 unanswered points, leading at the half 22-3.
Second Half
Allen came out with the same fire as the first half, moving the ball downfield and scoring another three unanswered touchdowns and a 40-yard field goal. The Blue Hawks’ offense couldn’t get much going as the Eagles barely allowed a first down. Allen secured their first district game win over Rockhill with a 44-3 victory.
Next Week
Allen continues their district play at home against old district foes Plano Senior, who are 1-2 this season, coming off a close 28-26 loss to McKinney. Rockhill will travel to Princeton to take on the Panthers, who are also 1-2 and are coming off a 44-21 loss to Plano East.
