The Allen Eagles are 25-2 over the last two years. However, they were not able to win a state championship. Succesful seasons are often measured by titles at Allen, and they hope to claim their 6th state title this year. They got off to a good start.
The Allen Eagles beat the Plano East Panthers, 49-26 on Friday. The game was close after one quarter, but Allen took control in the second quarter and controlled most of the game. Their schedule gets tough, really tough. Up next is Humble Atascocita, who both Max Preps and DC Football have ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the state, a few spots behind Allen. They then play Cedar Hill, a team ranked in the top 20 in the state. They also play Denton Guyer, who most have ranked as a top 5 team in the state, and Prosper who will appear in our top 25 in the state rankings this week also. It will be a very difficult 10 game regular season for the Eagles, but they have a good chance at making a run at another state title this year.
