Wiginton leaves Midlothian Heritage to replace Chad Morris at Allen. Wiginton has 22 years of head coaching experience and led Midlothian Heritage to a 61-19 record over the last six years. He led the Jaguars to 4 straight playoff appearances.
In a press release, Wiginton said:
“I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to join the Allen ISD community and lead the Allen Eagles football program. You can go just about anywhere in the nation and people will recognize the Allen Eagles name and the existing culture of excellence in academics and extracurriculars. I look forward to working closely with our coaches and administration to ensure our student-athletes have the tools necessary to find success during the school day, on gamedays, and in their personal lives.”
He will officially join AISD on June 3rd, but he will address the players and school today. It is a big jump to the biggest school in the State of Texas, but, Wiginton has the experience to get the job done. Expectations, as always, will be high at Allen.
