Theo Wease Jr. of Allen, who was just a sophomore last year, has verbally committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Wease doesn’t have an official star ranking on 247, but he’s already a U.S. Army All-American. He only had 35 catches as a sophomore, but he averaged over 10 yards per catch and caught eight touchdowns, which is a very excellent percentage. Wease is a bona-fide deep threat, but as he takes on a larger role in that juggernaut offense in Allen, we’ll soon see exactly how explosive he is in the open field.
Allen went 14-1 in 2016, and will open the 2017 season in a marquee matchup with Cedar Hill that will likely draw national attention.
