Anna delivered a statement win on Thursday night, rolling past Frisco Memorial 56-7 at The Star in Frisco and officially locking in a postseason spot. The Coyotes improved to 7-2 on the season and 5-2 in district play, extending their late-season surge with their fourth win in five games.
Quarterback Ziondre Williams was unstoppable, racking up 322 total yards and four touchdowns — three through the air and one on the ground. His explosive second quarter helped blow the game wide open, turning a 7-0 lead into a commanding 35-0 halftime advantage. Williams connected on a 38-yard strike to Jaxsen Lyons and later punched in a 19-yard run before the break.
Anna spread the scoring around as well, with Ace Traylor finding the end zone twice and teammates Carter Merritt, Pharell Brown, and Keshawn Myles each adding touchdowns. The Coyotes’ defense did its part too, racking up four sacks and keeping Memorial off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.
Frisco Memorial, now 3-6, scored its lone touchdown late on a 4-yard pass from Benjamin Wilson to Beckett Martin, but the game had long been decided.
Anna now returns home to face Liberty next Thursday, aiming to finish the regular season strong before the playoffs begin. Memorial will try to regroup as they prepare for Lovejoy on November 7.
The Coyotes are heating up at the right time — and Thursday’s performance made that very clear.
