Austin Westlake linebacker Levi Jones is headed out of the Lone Star State to play college football. The all-state linebacker announced on Wednesday morning that he is headed to USC.
Jones chose the Trojans over his other finalists Florida and Florida State.
The outside linebacker was all over the field for the Chaparrals in 2016, finishing with 103 tackles 12 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, and four sacks during the season.
Jones becomes the first Texan in the USC recruiting class of 2017 and the 20th commit overall for the Trojans.
His teammate, Stephan Zabie, committed to crosstown rival UCLA earlier on Wednesday. After playing as teammates, the two will now face each other as college rivals less than 15 miles apart.
