Best QB in Texas Fan Vote Results

The results are in. After a week of voting, the fans have selected Kaden Anderson from Southlake Carroll as their vote for the best current quarterback in Texas high school football.

Gael Ochoa of Pebble Hills had the lead in the first day of voting, followed by Michael Hawkins of Allen. On day three, Jackson Arnold of Guyer and Bo Edmundson began trading the lead back and forth. But, Kaden Anderson slowly gained on them, and he took the lead for good with a few days to go in the voting. However, out of nowhere, the Highland Park fan base made a furious comeback to put Brennan Storer in clear second place and it looked like Storer might catch Anders, but the Dragons of Southlake Carroll were relentless in their support for Anderson, and he won the fan vote.

Anderson is a 6’5” 210lbs Senior. He was a backup as a sophomore on the state champion runner-up team in 2020. In 2021, when Quinn Ewers graduated early to go to Ohio State (and later transferred to Texas), Anderson took over as the starter. He led the Dragons to 14-1 record and the 6A D1 State Semifinals. He finished the year with over 3,000 yards passing and 34 touchdowns, and added 7 touchdowns more on the ground.  He is receiving a lot of college attention, including offers from Bowling Green, Houston Baptist, and Stephen F Austin.

Here were the final top 6 vote-getters for the Fan Vote Best Current TXHSFB QB:

1: Kaden Anderson, Southlake Carroll

2: Brennan Storer, Highland Park

3: Bo Edmundson, Lake Travis

4: Jackson Arnold, Guyer

5: Michael Hawkins, Allen

6: Gael Ochoa, Pebble Hills
