KATY, Texas — The coaching carousel that is college football is in full swing. Rice fired its coach David Bailiff after going 4-19 in the last two seasons.
When coaches are fired, it does more than leave a man without a job, though. It also hits the recruiting trail. That much is seen as 2018 three-star defensive end Blake Kuithe has decommitted from Rice.
Kuithe took to Twitter to announce the decision yesterday.
I would like to thank Coach Bailiff and the entire coaching staff at Rice University for the opportunity to further my education and play football at such a prestigious University. After much thought and discussion with my family, I have decided to decommit from Rice University.

Kuithe was one of three three-star recruits in the Rice 2018 class, according to 247 sports. The 2018 recruit holds offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Iowa State and more.
